Lonnie Poole Golf Course
The Lonnie Poole Golf Course and Carol Johnson Poole
Clubhouse are public facilities designed to provide the NC State
community and local community access to a championship golf
course playable for all skill levels.
As the only collegiate golf course in the world designed by the
legendary Arnold Palmer, Golfweek Magazine has voted the
course one of the top 30 college/university golf courses in the

world nearly every year since its opening.The course serves as the
home course for NC State Men’s and Women’s Golf teams, as well
as a teaching and training facility for turfgrass and stormwater

Park Alumni Center
The Dorothy and Roy Park Alumni Center at NC State is an
impressive lakeside gathering spot on Centennial Campus. It
hosts alumni events, receptions and conferences within its
59,000 sq ft of marble-finished, chandelier-lit elegance, complete
with sweeping staircases and a stunning lake view.
Inside you’ll find Lakeside Kitchen, a sit-down restaurant featuring

Southern-fusion cuisine crafted from locally sourced ingredients—
including produce from the NC State Farmers Market and the
center’s own patio garden. It’s open to the public for lunch on
weekdays and offers a cozy fireplace lounge and scenic patio

Lake Raleigh
Created as a reservoir for the city in the early 1900s,
Lake Raleigh is a sprawling oasis less than three miles from
Downtown Raleigh.
The 75-acre lake and its trails are open from dawn until dusk, and
there are three areas of public access. Lake Raleigh’s recreation
area sits in the heart of NC State’s Centennial Campus and offers
