Wellness and Recreation Center
With core values centered around movement and behaviors
that improve health and well-being, the Wellness and
Recreation Center offers programs, services and facilities that
enhance academic success by assisting students in developing
skills and resilience needed for college and beyond. The gym
features everything from two Olympic-sized swimming pools
to a sauna, indoor track, weight training rooms and a rock

Memorial Belltower at Henry Square
The Memorial Belltower has stood as a symbol of identity for
NC State since 1937. The Belltower is a memorial to NC State
students who gave their lives to serve our country in World War I.
The Belltower is illuminated red for holidays that honor
veterans and to celebrate NC State’s athletic achievements.
It has become the backdrop for many momentous occasions for
the campus community. It is where students gather to celebrate
after winning a big game and to take graduation pictures to
serve as a reminder of their time at NC State. Learn more at

D. H. Hill Jr. Library and Academic Success Center
Hill Library houses over one million volumes of the Libraries’
collection. With plenty of study and collaboration spaces,
students have a variety of options to get their work done.
Hill Library offers a range of innovative resources, including
a makerspace, digital media lab and virtual reality lab. The
Academic Success Center provides free academic tutoring,
career counseling and academic advising to support student
success. The library is also home to the Office of Undergraduate

Research. Additional spaces include a state-of-the-art
visualization studio featuring immersive, 360-degree projection
